Charity Awards 2012 open for entries 

The Charity Awards celebrate the dramatic effects that charities have on a wide spectrum of social needs. 

There are ten categories in the current programme. They are: 

  1. Advice, support and advocacy
  2. Arts, culture and heritage
  3. Children and Youth 
  4. Disability 
  5. Education and training 
  6. Environment and conservation 
  7. Grantmaking and funding 
  8. Healthcare and medical research 
  9. International aid and development 
  10. Social care and welfare 

In addition to these categories the judges also select the Overall Winner (chosen from the category winners) and the Outstanding Leadership Award, which is presented to an individual who has an unquestionable legacy of leading individuals and organisations to deliver impact.

The closing date for entries is Friday 9 March 2012.
